Today we have the joy of publishing the current issue of The Letter Review, comprised of the winning entries of The Letter Review Prize (March – April 2024). We are enormously excited to share these new works of literature with our readers. The winners of our July – September round will be announced over the coming months.
As we always say, we believe in the magic and value of new writing. In a world which can feel cynical, shallow, and addicted to the dire and distressing, we turn again and again to the masterful works literary artists are producing everyday around the world: Thoughtful, valuable, deeply creative, reassuring, and spell-binding new works.
Now, more than ever seemingly, we are baffled by contemporary trends. We turn to these artists to hold up the proverbial mirror, and help us to see ourselves ever more clearly. When we see ourselves in the works we read, we are assured: We are not alone. We are part of a society.
When art reaffirms the depth, complexity, and beauty of life we are ourselves inspired to approach the world with openness, kindness, and understanding. With high hopes for a rewarding and meaningful experience.
Without further cogitation, we today present the current issue of The Letter Review, and the winners of the The Letter Review Prize (March – April 2024).
With belief in the magic of art,
The Letter Review Team
